On September 22, 2019, Buddhist friends in Prato, Italy have a brand-new place to call their spiritual home. The Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center marked its official opening with a formal Blessing Ceremony and Free Vegetarian Event on the beautiful Sunday. Over 2000 people attended this gathering and expressed their gratitude towards Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Jun Hong Lu, the founder of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.

The fully renovated Buddhist practice center is an integrated multi-services place providing comprehensive Buddhist chanting, learning and wellness to area residents. The grand opening marked the culmination of a years-long Dharma propagation process. Since Master Jun Hong Lu visited Milan and held a large-scale free Dharma Talk in 2017, Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door has been vastly spreading across Italy. Many people have benefited from the practice and successfully overcome their life difficulties by following Master Jun Hong Lu’s Buddhist teachings.

The day before the official opening, hundreds of volunteers from Italy and other areas of Europe had started the opening preparation.  A well-planned volunteer meeting was conducted and discussed all the “to do” activities for the event. The meeting also helped chart out a realistic schedule and timeline for accomplishing the goals. To make sure there is plenty of food during the vegetarian event after the blessing ceremony, many volunteers had started cooking and preparing for the big lunch in the next day. Many of them didn’t sleep and worked all night.

On the day of opening, many Buddhist friends had arrived at the venue as early as 6:00am in the morning. They started to retrieve admission tickets at 7:00 and stood a line outside the main hall. At 9:00am, attendees were allowed to enter and to make incense offerings to Buddhas. One hour later at 10: 00am sharp, the blessing ceremony officially started. The crowds all solemnly stood with both of their hands joined to chant Buddhist scriptures, including Great Compassion Mantra, Heart Sutra, the Holy Names of all the Buddhas on the altar. After the ceremony, the gloomy weather changed into sunrise and turned warm. Everyone felt the immense rays of Buddha’s light immerse themselves in the warmness and blessings. They gratefully thank Guan Yin Bodhisattva for his great compassion and great mercy.

After free vegetarian lunch, the “Buddhist Friends Meeting” started at 12:00pm. The featured sessions include the introduction of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, related activities organized before, Master Jun Hong Lu’s Dharma Talk for this specific opening event, story sharing by Buddhist friends who overcame life difficulties through practicing Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. At the end of the meeting, several volunteers performed chanting Great Compassion Mantra and received extended applause from the audience.

The Prato Buddhist practice center now opens to the public from Monday to Sunday year around. Welcome to the practice center to pray and to make incense offerings to Buddhas. To better help people learn the essence of Buddhism, diverse activities will be arranged in the near future, including free vegetarian tasting event, children’s Dharma Class, life liberations, etc. The volunteers in Prato center will continue to make efforts to spread the core values of Buddhism and help more people alleviate suffering.

Grand Opening of Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Valencia, Spain

Grand Opening of Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Valencia, Spain

20180924-Opeing-Valencia1

On Monday, September 24, 2018, a grand opening ceremony of the third Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Spain took place at the port city of Valencia. The official opening of the Buddhist practice center marks a major milestone for the Guan Yin Citta Door and its development in Valencia over the past a few years. Celebrations continued on for a whole day, including a Grand Blessing Ceremony in the morning and a free vegetarian banquet in the evening. Many Buddhist friends traveled from across Spain as well as France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, the Netherlands, and even the United States attended the celebration, which is considered exceptionally auspicious.  The memorable day is filled with blessings and joy!

For most of the last decade, the economic recession in Spain has caused many people to lose their jobs, homes and savings. Relying on the qualities of perseverance, diligence and courage, many overseas Chinese immigrants in Spain endured the hardship and withstood the economic adversity. As Guan Yin Citta Dharma spreads into the area of Valencia, more and more people are benefited from Master Jun Hong Lu’s Buddhist teachings, not only having life issues solved, but also gaining deeper spiritual support and comfort. The wisdom of Buddhism effectively helps them rebuild their faith and alleviate from suffering. Some of the Buddhist friends even have started to recognize the inherent pitfalls of the impure mind, and begin to utilize every moment of their life in positive ways to clean karmic debts and achieve a degree of inner peace.

The grand blessing ceremony started at 10am and ended at 12pm. More than 700 Buddhist friends participated in the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and witnessed the magnificent moment. One of the Buddhist friend remarked, “The Buddhist practice center is stunning. I am so glad to be here. Spending a quiet moment in front of the statue of Guan Yin Bodhisattva made me experience an internal moment of peace and joy. I can’t help burst into tears with a warm feeling I never experienced before, greatest gratitude to Master Jun Hong Lu for bringing us such an amazing Dharma Door at the Dharma Ending Age.” To add to the hospitality of the day, volunteers from Guan Yin Citta Valencia prepared delicious vegetarian lunch for all the people attending the ceremony.

In the evening at 7:30pm, a grand vegetarian banquet was held at a local restaurant with attendance of over 800 people. The leader of Guan Yin Citta Valencia first delivered a welcome speech to thank all the guests and Buddhist friends for all their support of the Guan Yin Citta and making the organization shine in Valencia. Then all the attendees watched clips of Master Jun Hong Lu’s worldwide Dharma propagations and Totem Readings. Two of the Buddhist practitioners shared their heartfelt experiences of overcoming life difficulties by practicing Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. One of Buddhist friends successfully defeated breast cancer and the other one cured her daughter’s constipation. Coincidently, the Mid-Autumn Festival fell on the same day as the opening of Guan Yin Citta Valencia. Having so many Buddhist friends together in such a beautiful and joyous time is the best blessing and brings completeness and happiness. Wish the Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Valencia a brighter future and deliver more sentient beings!

New Guan Yin Citta Practice Centre Established in Taiwan

20180731-GrandOpening-Yilan2

To commemorate the Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment Day, a Grand Blessing Ceremony was recently held at Fuyan Huguo Zen Monastery in Yilan, Taiwan. On this blessed day, the official opening of a new Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door Buddhist Practice Centre was also held. Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door has been in Taiwan for many years. Under the leadership and guidance of Master Jun Hong Lu, the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door has propagated quickly over the past few years. Since 2013, Master Jun Hong Lu has given two large-scale Dharma Talks in Kaohsiung and Taipei, with 5,000 to 10,000 people in attendance. A number of major cities including Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Taitung, Kaohsiung, Taoyuan, Keelung, and Chiayi have established Guan Yin Citta Practice Centres, serving as the spiritual homes for many Buddhist practitioners and friends. This new centre in Yilan marks a major milestone for the development of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door in Taiwan. On this day, more than 500 Buddhist abbots, monks, practitioners, and friends from Taiwan and all over the globe attended this magnificent ceremony.

The Grand Blessing Ceremony started at 10am and was conducted in the open space area of the Ruyi Hall. This ceremony was hosted by Venerable Shi Hong Rong, the abbot of Fuyan Huguo Zen Monastery in Yilan, and Venerable Shi Wei Fang, the abbot of Ru Yi Temple in the United States. The ceremony involved chanting of Buddhist scriptures followed by a series of rituals. Statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, Guan Yin Bodhisattva, Nanjing Bodhisattva, Tai Sui Bodhisattva, Guan Di Bodhisattva, Zhou Tsang Bodhisattva, and Guan Ping Bodhisattva were blessed and then worshipped by the attendees who were present at the ceremony. An atmosphere of solemnity and reverence pervaded the area during the entire blessing session.

After the blessings, the two abbots and Venerable Shi Xin Jing, the abbot of Guan Yin Hall of Wisemans Ferry, Australia, delivered their speeches respectively. They commended the establishment of this new Buddhist practice centre in Yilan, Taiwan, as being an auspicious outcome for not only the local people, but also all Buddhists worldwide. Thanks to the blessings from Bodhisattvas, the full support of Master Jun Hong Lu, and the hard work of many dedicated people, the entire ceremony progressed smoothly.

The Fuyan Huguo Zen Monastery was built way back in the 1961. Each year, a seemingly endless stream of pilgrims comes to worship at the monastery for the past 50 years. Now, with the establishment of the new Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Centre, visitors can experience even more spiritual benefits when visiting the place.

In the afternoon, the guests were treated with the screening of touching videos showing Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu’s Dharma propagation activities around the world. This was followed by Master Jun Hong Lu’s introductory Dharma messages for the people of Taiwan. Since 2015, Guan Yin Citta Practice Centres in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung have organised four large-scale Buddhist charity events, with tens of thousands of attendees having come to experience their vegetarian delicacies. Dozens of small-scale events have also been held in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Yilan. The objectives of organising these events are to promote the core values of Buddhism, traditional Chinese culture, and to advocate for a compassionate vegetarian diet that brings immense benefits to our health and environment. These activities have always received great recognition as well as positive feedback from the local communities.

Hopefully, with the new establishment of the practice centre in Yilan, Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door will continue to flourish across Taiwan, and make more positive impacts on the society. In this way, more people can start to practise the Buddhism way of life and to begin applying the wisdom of Dharma into their daily lives to improve and change their destinies.

Embarking on a new journey: the Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Hungary opens grandly with a free vegetarian feast

After one month of renovation and a week of flurried preparations, the Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Hungary grandly opened at the beautiful capital city of Budapest on September 16, 2018. The grand opening marks the great strides made in spreading Master Jun Hong Lu’s Buddhist teachings in the landlocked central Europe and the start of a new journey for future Dharma propagation. The Sunday morning celebration included a blessing ceremony and a free vegetarian feast event, which attracted over 200 Buddhist friends from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the United States, and other 16 countries worldwide.

“The establishment of the Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Hungary is to provide people a place to practice Buddhism and learn Master Jun Hong Lu’s Buddhist teachings. It is a spiritual home for everyone to find out their inner strength and true self with the purification of minds through systematic Buddhist practices. Anybody and everyone is welcome here,” remarked by the leader of the Guan Yin Citta in Hungary.

Based on Zen Buddhism and wisdom in life, Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door has been worldwide spreading with its practical method of practice and in-depth teachings of Buddhist philosophy by Master Jun Hong Lu in plain terms. So far, there are over a dozen of Guan Yin Citta Buddhist practice centers established across Europe, deeply engaged in Dharma propagation and local community development.

The blessing ceremony was officially kicked off at 10:00am in the morning. With the chanting of Buddhist scriptures in chorus, the six figures of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, Nanjing Bodhisattva, Tai Sui Bodhisattva, Guan Di Bodhisattva, Zhou Tsang Bodhisattva and Guan Ping Bodhisattva were fully blessed and worshipped by Buddhist friends and practitioners.

After the blessing ceremony, the opening celebration continued with a free vegetarian feast and video sharing session. Being surrounded by fragrant flowers and scented breezes, the guests and Buddhist friends watched striking videos of Master Jun Hong Lu’s worldwide Dharma propagations and a Dharma talk specifically directed to the blessing ceremony.

Several Buddhist friends shared their real life experiences of overcoming adversity by practicing Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Not only did Guan Yin Citta help them go through life difficulties, but also provide them spiritual sustenance and protections from Buddha and Bodhisattvas. One of the Buddhist friends shared how he survived cancer and restored health by practicing “Four Golden Practices”, making vows, reciting Buddhist scriptures, performing life liberations, and learning Buddhism in Plain Terms. Another Buddhist practitioner with a Ph.D. degree working at Technical University of Denmark skyrockets his career with the practice of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, and continuously awarded top scientific prizes for optical data transmission technology from European Commission and Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. Before his engagement in Buddhist practice, nothing was ever perfect in his life. His talent was underappreciated and research bogged down. After following Master Jun Hong Lu’s Buddhist teachings, he wholly devoted himself into the Dharma propagation and accumulated merits and virtues which help him gradually clear the karmic debts and eliminate obstacles in his life. The third sharing was from a 10-year-old child, who overcame school bullying and bad relationships with teachers by chanting Buddhist scriptures.

After the heartfelt sharing, some volunteers performed a Buddhist song “Great Compassion Mantra” in chorus. The air was vibrating with the beautiful melody and the atmosphere was full of solemn. Last but not least, everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed every bite of the delicious free vegetarian meals. Many guests were impressed by the exquisite vegetarian dishes and can’t stop singing the praises. After the feast, everyone received delicate gifts, including bags of auspicious rice, blessed water, handmade moon cakes, and fruits.

Great thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who have worked very hard to ensure the success of the opening ceremony. With hope and love, wish the Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Practice Center in Hungary open a new section of a journey into a brighter future and deliver more sentient beings.
