On July 21, 2019, Guan Yin Citta Culture Center in Toronto organized a memorable event to celebrate Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment Day. The event took place at Crosby Memorial Community Centre in north Toronto and brought local people happiness and inspiration. It is the fifth time that Guan Yin Citta Toronto goes deep into the local community and spreads Buddhist method of living to help people solve their problems. Many attendees not only tasted delicious free vegetarian food, but also watched Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu’s spiritual uplifting videos.
During the past few years, Guan Yin Citta Toronto has been advocating for Buddhist approach to alleviating suffering and making life better, and there has been a lot of progress in this effort. Many Buddhist friends in Toronto area have benefitted from Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu’s teachings and adopted the wisdom of Buddhism into their life. Some of them have successfully defeated serious diseases, and some of them realized the true meaning of life and have been constantly giving back to the society. The Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door propagated by Master Jun Hong Lu has been accepted by tens of millions of people around the world. In the age of Dharma Decline, the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door is the enchanted medicine given by Guan Yin Citta Bodhisattva specifically to save our lives.
The celebration begins with the children’s chorus singing Mother is the best in your world. Then it goes to the introduction of the Children’s Dharma Class in Guan Yin Citta Toronto. The class opened specifically for kids not only transmits love, kindness, and compassion, but also teaches them the traditional Chinese culture, such as the Five kinds of Moralities, benevolence, righteousness, manners, wisdom, and trustworthiness. Many kids have benefitted from the teachings and could be able to discipline themselves in school and at home. After the kids singing, volunteers from Guan Yin Citta brought audience another song Verse to praise Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The beautiful melody stuck a chord with the listeners and many of them sang along with the music. An atmosphere of peace and joy gradually developed in the community center, and everyone could feel the unconditional love and blessings from Guan Yin Bodhisattva. After the performances, all the attendees watched video clips from Master Jun Hong Lu’s Dharma Talks and Totem Inquiries. These videos provided them brand new perspectives to look at the world and opportunities to introspect themselves. Life is short. It is a journey to discover your true self, not a destination to lay back.
At the end, everyone enjoyed delicious vegetarian meals prepared by volunteers from Guan Yin Citta. Everything distributed in the event were all free, including the meals, Buddhist books, learning materials, DVDs, and gifts. Many attendees came with no idea of what they were getting into and left with new Buddhist methods of living, which will benefit them in a long run.
